A201-2-H type pre-reduced ammonia synthesis catalyst was prepared by reduction of A201-2 type oxidized ammonia synthesis catalyst using Fe-Co double active components. After the pre-reduction of ammonia synthesis catalyst is very active, long-term exposure to air or contact with water (including water vapor), will oxidize and heat, resulting in spontaneous combustion. Therefore, in order to stabilize transport and catalyst loading, the surface of A201-2-H catalyst particles is passivated with oxygen in a controlled manner, so that a FeO film is formed on its surface. This layer of film not only ensures the stability of the catalyst, but also is extremely easy to reduce when used. After pre-reduction, the reduction degree of A201-2-H ammonia synthesis catalyst can reach more than 90%, and the oxygen content is generally less than 2%.
