Description
Triethylene glycol monoethyl ether is an odorless, colorless liquid that sinks and mixes with water . It is a type of ethoxy-alcohol derivative, and the ether being relatively unreactive . It is primarily used as a major raw material (diluent) in the formulation of hydraulic brake fluid . Other uses include coatings, printing inks, some specialty chemicals, antisudsing agents for finely powdered materials, cleaning products, cutting oils, and deicing agents .
