Description
H-Cys(Trt)-NH2 is a derivative of cysteine with a trityl (Trt) protecting group12. It is a potent, cell-permeable, selective inhibitor of mitotic kinesin Eg5, a protein required for establishing and maintaining a bipolar spindle1. It is used in the synthesis of protected peptide acids containing a C-terminal cysteine amino-acid residue3.
