Poly(vinyl laurate) is a homopolymeric ethenyl dodecanoate. The polymer is used in cosmetic formulations. It acts as a binder (ensures the desired cohesion of powdery, powdery or creamy products, prevents the separation of solids and liquid components), film former ( forms a film on skin, hair or nails when applied) and viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).
