Dimethyl allylmalonate is an additive that can be used in detergent compositions. It is a synthetic compound, which can be made by the alkylation of allyl alcohol with dimethylester of malonic acid. Dimethyl allylmalonate has shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on the inflammation caused by tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).
