Description
Estrone is a female sex hormone and is the weakest of the three types of estrogen . It supports female sexual development and function . Estrone is produced in the ovaries, placenta, and in peripheral tissues (especially adipose tissue) through conversion of adrostenedione . After menopause, estrone is the only type of estrogen that your body keeps making naturally .
