Description
Finasteride is an antiandrogenic compound used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss in adult males by inhibiting Type II 5-alpha reductase . It blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase, which changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow .
