LDN193189 can effectively inhibit BMP4 -mediated SMAD1, Smad5 and SMAD8 activation, IC50 is 5 nm, which can also effectively suppress the transcription activity of BMP I type receptor ALK2 and ALK3. The IC50 is 5nm and 30 nm, respectively. In addition, LDN193189 also has a suppression effect on the transcriptional activation of continuous activation Alk2R206H or Alk2Q207D mutant protein induced. A recent study shows that among human arterial endothelial cells, LDN-193189 blocks the generation of oxidized free radicals induced by oxidized LDL. Further, LDN-193189 has the inhibitory effect of vascular inflammation, bone activity and calcification.
