Description of CAS NO:1614-12-6  1-Aminobenzotriazole

1-Aminobenzotriazole CAS:1614-12-6 is a chemical inhibitor of cytochrome P450 that is used in the treatment of various types of cancer. It inhibits the activity of cytochrome P450, an enzyme that is involved in detoxifying xenobiotics and carcinogens. 1-Aminobenzotriazole has been shown to be effective against Candida glabrata, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of cytochrome P450. The drug also has toxicity studies and has been shown to have enzyme activities in vitro.

Applications of CAS NO:1614-12-6  1-Aminobenzotriazole

1-Aminobenzotriazole (1-ABT) CAS:1614-12-6  is a pan-specific, mechanism-based inactivator of the xenobiotic metabolizing forms of cytochrome P450 in animals, plants, insects, and microorganisms . It has been widely used to investigate the biological roles of cytochrome P450 enzymes, their participation in the metabolism of both endobiotics and xenobiotics, and their contributions to the metabolism-dependent toxicity of drugs and chemicals.

Inhibitor of Monoamine Oxidase (MAO)
1-Aminobenzotriazole has been characterized as a potent inhibitor of Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) in vitro using mouse, rat, and human liver microsomes and S9 fractions . It has shown to inhibit both MAO isozymes (MAO-A and MAO-B) with more specificity towards MAO-B .
