Description of CAS NO:55674-67-4  Boc-D-Thr-OH / N-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)-D-threonine

Boc-D-Threonine, also known as Boc-D-Thr-OH CAS:55674-67-4 , is a derivative of threonine  . It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, agricultural chemicals, flavors, spices, and materials industries as a bifunctional catalyst for asymmetric selective synthesis . It is known to inhibit the growth and cell wall synthesis of Mycobacterium smegmatis and is also used as a synthetic intermediate for the production of chiral antibiotics .

Boc-D-Thr-OH CAS:55674-67-4 is a tetrapeptide that has been shown to bind to opioid receptors and calcium. It also binds to fluorescent compounds, which can be used for the separation of Boc-D-Thr-OH from other peptides. This compound can be prepared by cyclization of 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with an amine. The binding constants and the constant for this compound have been determined using fluorescence spectrometry and plates, respectively.
