Introduction and application of Dicyclopentadiene type phenolic epoxy resin

Dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) -phenol epoxy resin is a kind of epoxy resin with special skeleton structure.

Compared with the common bisphenol A type epoxy resin, its molecular structure contains not only benzene ring, but also the alicyclic structure of bicyclopentadiene.

The epoxy resin of this structure has excellent heat resistance, low moisture absorption, low elasticity and high adhesion sealing.

It can not only replace o-cresol epoxy resin to improve the heat resistance, low water absorption and cracking resistance of semiconductor packages, but also as a primer in furniture, electrical appliances and ships and other applications, with excellent moisture resistance and salt water corrosion resistance.
