Introduction and application of 2'-Hydroxychalcone | CAS:1214-47-7
Overview: 2'-Hydroxychalcone can be used as an intermediate for drug synthesis, such as the preparation of flavonol compounds. Flavonol compounds are widely distributed in nature as secondary metabolites in organisms. They have received extensive attention at home and abroad because of their diverse physiological activities. At present, the biological activity research of flavonol compounds mainly focuses on the effects on the cardiovascular system, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects.
Preparation: Preparation of 2'-hydroxychalcone: Add 30ml20% (V/V) ethanol and (11.06mmol) sodium hydroxide into a 50mL single-necked flask, stir at room temperature for 0.5h, then add substituted 2-hydroxyacetophenone (1.66mmol) and benzaldehyde (1.66mmol), stir at room temperature for 18h, monitor by TLC until the new point of raw material production does not change, stop the reaction, pour the reactants into water, stir and adjust the pH value to acidic with 6mol/L hydrochloric acid, filter the reactants to obtain a filter cake, rinse with pure water twice, and obtain 2'-hydroxychalcone by silica gel column chromatography [V (petroleum ether) ∶ V (ethyl acetate) = 5 ∶ 1], with a yield of 85%. Chemical properties Yellow needle-shaped crystals (ethanol). Melting point 88-89℃.
