Introduction and application of PALM OIL | CAS:8002-75-3

Uses Oil for cold rolling of steel, rust prevention, lubrication, sterilization, cooling Crude oil is used for making soap and hot-dip tinning. Refined oil can be used for food 2. Industrial use of palm oil products In recent years, the industrial use of palm oil has developed rapidly. In developed countries, a large amount of palm oil is used for industrial purposes. In my country, palm industrial products are known as "industrial MSG", which shows its wide application. Refined palm oil used in industry requires a melting point of not less than 44°C. It is mainly used to make soap, stearic acid and glycerol, and the annual demand is basically more than 100,000 tons. In recent years, with the rise in crude oil prices, the topic of biofuel has been explored again. The use of palm oil as a biofuel has been discovered, becoming a new growth point for the use of palm oil in the future. Many scholars have used palm oil and palm kernel oil to prepare biodiesel, which has been used for industrial production in Europe and Malaysia, but there is no comprehensive and in-depth research in my country. Palm oil is mainly divided into two categories in industrial applications: one is that which can be directly obtained from palm products, such as soaps, epoxy palm oil and its polyols, polyurethanes and polyacrylates. The other is oleochemical products, such as fatty acids, esters, fatty alcohols, nitrogen compounds and glycerol. Based on these products, various derivative products can be produced through different chemical methods. The main raw materials of oleochemicals are oils rich in carbon chain lengths of C12-C14 and C16-C18, among which palm kernel oil, palm stearin and palmitic acid are the main raw materials.
