Sand Control Fluid Modifier

Sand Control Fluid Modifier is a strong cationic polyelectrolyte with a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid appearance. The specific gravity is about 1.02g/cm3, and the decomposition temperature is 150℃. Easily soluble in water and non-flammable. A small amount of this product can be closely adsorbed to the surface of clay minerals in sandstone oil layers through physical and chemical effects, and enhance the clay's corrosion resistance and erosion resistance. The cationic modifier of sand control fluid is resistant to acids, alkalis and salts; it is insoluble in oil and hydrocarbons, has strong resistance to oil washing, and will not undergo wetting reversal.

Application of Sand Control Fluid Modifier

Oil fields are generally developed through injection, but clay and minerals in sandstone oil layers expand and migrate when exposed to water, causing severe sand production. This problem seriously affects the normal production of oil fields, so it is very necessary to prevent sand and inhibit sand production in oil and water wells. Cationic modifiers can effectively prevent clay expansion and particle migration, and eliminate or reduce damage to formation permeability, achieving the effect of sand control, increased production and injection. This product can also be used to modify oilfield working fluids such as thickened killing fluids, well cleaning fluids, fracturing fluids, and acidifying fluids. Test before use to determine application method and dosage. The aqueous solution is prepared by mixing 1-3% high salt and 2×106 mg/L high-salinity brine. It can also be prepared with seawater. It has good salt tolerance, wide applicability, convenience and reliability. This product is stable when placed and is not subject to fermentation or degradation due to bacterial interference.
