DTQx-2BOThBr is consisted of a fused dithieno[3,2-f:2′,3′-h]quinoxaline (DTQx) core that are joined by 5-bromo-4-(2-butyloctyl)thiophene on each side. The two large side-chains can enhance the solubility of the target molecules and also promote film crystallinity and morphology of the devices that are processed from the target molecules.
